Marylanders Plant Trees. Plant and be Counted! The Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association' continued work with Maryland’s Tributary Strategy Commissions and the Department of Natural Resources to promote the health of the Chesapeake Bay and green building in general is proud to support the State of Maryland's Department of Natural Resources Plant a Tree program. This effort, which is part of Maryland's 10-point program to help improve the health of the Chesapeake Bay, offers a $25 coupon toward the purchase of one tree at retail value at participating company’s listed on the Marylanders Plant Trees Recommended Tree List. Governor O'Malley has committed the state agencies to plant one million new trees by 2011 and he is asking private citizens to plant another 50,000 trees by 2010. We urge the citizens of Maryland to join the building industry in participating in this program. For additional details click on this brochure or you may also visit www.trees.maryland.gov.
